Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts is not the first culinary school on the scene, nor will it be the last, but I can tell you with certainty that our program is truly unique in the experience it provides to its students.
In October six PICA students accompanied by Executive Culinary Chef Darren Clay participated in Devour! The Food Film Fest in Nova Scotia. Our students had the privilege to prepare dinner for 150 guests, cooking with and for Chef Michael Smith and the legendary Chef Jacques Pepin. They also visited The Old Apothecary Bakery & Café in Halifax, owned and operated by three PICA graduates, all from the same family.
