PICA Welcomes food entrepreneur and chef, Yves Potvin, as new owner and president

Best known for his success in creating health focused, lifestyle food products, the purchase of PICA is an opportunity for Yves to return to his roots as a chef, to support the local food community and to be a part of the industry’s changing landscape. “I feel privileged to be joining this fine institution. I look forward to collaborating with my new partner, Chef Julian Bond, to further the success of PICA. I see culinary schools as both the backbone of the professional side of the industry and as a menu of change for the industry itself,” says Yves. He is excited about complementing the current curriculum with nutrition studies and sustainable practices and implementing new educational technologies.

“Having a seasoned food entrepreneur and former chef such as Yves as president of PICA speaks to the legacy and future of the school,” says VP Executive Chef Julian Bond, “He brings a wealth of business acumen, experience and most importantly, a passion for food and innovation. We’re thrilled to have Yves join the PICA team.”

Yves is committed to continuing the school’s legacy of providing the highest quality hands-on training. A culinary education at PICA will prepare students for dynamic, successful careers in tomorrow’s global market place whether it be at the helm of a kitchen, as a food stylist or as an entrepreneur. With a focus on nationally recognized professional training, Yves and Julian see the graduates from PICA setting the standard for excellence in creative culinary development. They believe a student educated at PICA can step into any kitchen in the world and feel confident in their skills and knowledge.
