As Founder of the Institute, I am a firm believer in integrity, honesty and professionalism. When Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts opened its doors in 1997, it was essential to me to have the Institute’s foundation built upon these three principles.
As Canada’s oldest private culinary school with an onsite restaurant and bakeshop, Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts was granted its first Consumer’s Choice Award in 2006; the first and only culinary school in Canada to receive this distinction consecutively for the past four years. Most recently, Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts was accepted into the Education Quality Assurance (EQA) program. This esteemed designation identifies our culinary centre as exceeding government recognized quality assurance standards for education and training.
Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts is recognized as the first culinary school in Canada to embrace Ocean Wise status and Green Table Network programs, having once again positioned ourselves ahead of industry standards.
Our graduates are successfully working around the world. To play a small but significant role in the launch of their careers remains my passion. I am extremely proud of our graduates and their achievements and I am equally proud of our dedicated chef instructors and staff who share my vision. Their sense of pride and enthusiasm shine in the warm, caring atmosphere at our Institute.
