Baking & Pastry Arts Full-time A tuition deposit is required with each Application for Admission, along with payment for a uniform set and shoes. An additional tuition deposit is due 30 days prior to course commencement with the remainder payable in equal installments. International Students: To ensure that registered students receive their acceptance letter and are able to apply for their student visas in a timely manner, all acceptance packages destined for South America and Mexico will be sent via FedEx courier. Acceptance packages destined for other countries will be sent via FedEx courier upon request only. Courier fees vary by region and are to be paid by the registered student upon commencement of their program. Uniform Set$525 – $550 CAD ScholarshipsWe offer scholarships to assist graduating high school students pursue an education in culinary arts. Grade 12 Black Box CompetitionPacific Institute of Culinary Arts offers a Grade 12 Black Box Competition whereby the winner of the competition receives a $1000 scholarship toward tuition fees for professional programs held at Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts. There is no fee to enter this fun and challenging competition and it is held every spring. The 2nd Annual Black Box Competition was held at Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts on Friday, April 25th, 2008. Participants worked individually to create a dish using our mystery black box ingredients which included: arctic char, egg, carrot, asparagus, shallots, mushrooms, red potatoes, yellow pepper and garlic. Congratulations to Amanda Veldman of Ecole Secondaire Hugh McRoberts Secondary (in Richmond) who took first place in our 2nd Annual Grade 12 Black Box Competition. Amanda was awarded the $1000 tuition scholarship for Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts' full-time professional programs.
