Consumers’ Choice Award Recipient For Business Excellence – BC Trade Schools

Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts is the first culinary school in Canada to be awarded the Consumers’ Choice Award in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and again in 2010.  Considered a ‘Seal of Excellence’ within the community and beyond, this prestigious honor signifies our on-going commitment to quality, service and value.

Unique to North America, the award is an initiative of Consumers’ Choice Institute (Canada).  All winners are determined by consumers, not a panel of judges or professional food critics.  Consumers and local businesses are surveyed by an independent company, and are asked to vote for an establishment that they feel represents the ultimate in “…excellence, based on the elements of quality, service, value and appearance.”

Upon winning this award for the first time in 2006, Pacific Instititute of Culinary Arts received the following congratulatory comments:

Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada, “In business, there is no greater compliment than earning the trust and loyalty of your clients and the respect and admiration of your peers.  I congratulate everyone receiving the prestigious Consumers’ Choice Award…for their achievements in business excellence and customer service.”

"The Consumers' Choice Award is an important institution for the Canadian business scene and for the Canadian consumers generally and I know that those who will be our recipients are the most outstanding people of our business community..." - Hon. Don Boudria, Federal Cabinet Minister and Government Leader, House of Commons

"This is the sixth year that the Consumers' Choice Award program has paid tribute to outstanding companies and individuals in Vancouver. These awards are particularly well regarded and meaningful because those who know best, the people who purchase these products and services, choose the winners. I congratulate this year's winners for all they have done to bring out the best in themselves and their businesses. It is their hard work, dedication and innovation that provide us with the many exceptional products and services available to us all." - Hon. Gordon Campbell Premier of British Columbia
