Themed Cooking Classes

The Professional Culinary Centre @ Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts is pleased to offer the following theme classes to our casual gourmet clients:

Private Cooking Class

A typical cooking class consists of hands-on participation by you and your guests in the preparation of a 3 course menu under the tutelage of one of our European-trained Chef Instructors. The cooking class is 2 hours in duration followed by lunch or dinner in the Institute's fine dining Restaurant where you and your guests will enjoy the 'fruits of your labour'. All menus are custom-designed based on your preferences, seasonal ingredients, dietary restrictions, allergies, etc.

Cost (minimum 4 people based on a 2 hour class): $150.00 per person plus HST 

Participants will also receive recipes from the class, a Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts souvenir apron as well as enjoy their creations made in class. 

Cooking class ideas include but are not limited to the following: 

• Bread making
• Sauces, Stocks and Soups
• Knife Skills
• Hors D'oeuvres
• Meat, Fish, Poultry
• Sushi
• Pastry
• Vegetarian or Vegan Cuisine

• Caking Decorating & Design
• Dining Etiquette (minimum 6 people)

Jack & Jill Shower | Bridal Showers | Stag(ettes)

Tired of the same old bridal shower, stag(ette) or Jack and Jill party? We can accommodate a challenge such as the Iron Chef or Apprentice Theme (guys vs. gals) or a 2-hour cooking class. Minimum party size is 10 guests.

Teen Birthday Parties

Don't forget to book your teen's next birthday party at the Professional Culinary Centre @ Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts!

The food, the instruction and the fun are all included in a 3-hour hands-on party! The teens will prepare a gourmet 3-course menu custom-designed by the 'birthday teen' and then enjoy their creations. 

Cost: $75.00 plus HST per teen (group size of 10 available). 

Family Cooking Classes

Culinary - Two Hour Family Cooking Class for 4 is $600.00 plus HST 

Baking and/or Pastry - Three Hour Family Cooking Class for 4 is $900.00 plus HST 

All classes are custom-designed based on what your family members wish to learn.

Additional hours can be purchased at a cost of $75.00 per person plus HST per hour.

Please note (for all above classes):

• Private classes are available Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays) in the morning, afternoon or evening, based on availability. Class date and time will be arranged based on your schedule as well as the availability of a Chef Instructor. Saturday evening classes are also available with a minimum of 20 people.
• Full payment is required at the time of booking. We accept all major credit cards, cash or debit.
• If a participant withdraws 30 days or more prior to course commencement, s/he may transfer to another available class start date or receive a full refund. If notification is provided less than 30 days but more than 5 days prior to the course commencement, the participant will be issued a credit. For no-shows and cancellations of less than 5 days prior to the course commencement, the participant forfeits the total amount paid.
• Gift cards are available in any denomination.
